Manscaping may be a trendy term being used all over men’s magazines and websites, but men have been trimming, shaving, tweezing and yikes! Even waxing for millennia. It may sound tricky and sometimes painful, but it doesn’t have to be. Here are a few tips to get your skin smoother than a baby’s bottom.

Invest in the right tools
You are going to need more than a disposable razor and some shaving cream to get the job done.  Invest in some good quality tweezers and facial scissors. You will also need an electric trimmer with a guard that has adjustable settings for length. The big brands have recently repackaged these gadgets specifically for manscaping duties, but they’re really just tried-and-true beard trimmers.

Many areas you shave are sensitive so you could use a shaving oil to prepare your skin. Face Guard carefully cleanses your skin & softens the facial hair to prepare it for shaving. It then creates a barrier, lubricating your skin & protecting it to allow closer contact from the shaver, while active ingredients work to penetrate & moisturise, leaving your skin feeling ultra smooth.

Eyebrows
Don’t jump into waxing and tweezing right away. You may just need to trim your brows with scissors to tidy them up. If you are dealing with a serious unibrow then you can look into heading down to your local beauty salon for a professional job.

Ears
Bet you never thought you could grow a forest out of your ears, but unfortunately it’s one of the hazards of aging. Shaving and waxing should take care of this area, but never poke tweezers into your ears!

Nose
To avoid unsightly growth sticking out of your nostrils trim hairs regularly with a nose trimmer or small facial scissors.

Chest
Unless you are going for a Magnum look circa 1978 no one wants to see a bush creeping out of your open shirt. Use that electric shaver to thin things down to a fairly uniform density.

Underarms
There should be some hair there, but you can keep it under control by trimming with scissors.

Back and shoulders
Yes we know the smooth look is all in, so you can accomplish this with your electric shaver, but if you want longer lasting results – look into waxing. Painful, but worth it.

Private area
Light trimming usually takes care of this sensitive area, but you can also shave or even wax for a bare look (yes even men get Brazilian waxes)
