A beard is a sign of coming off age. Men love it for the masculine, rugged, and attractive look that it gives them. Growing a beard requires a lot of patience, commitment, and regular upkeep at the same time. A well-groomed and healthy beard conveys a basic message of bodily health and well maintained facial landscape. There are two easy steps to getting the perfect bearded look.
1. Growing the beard
When you initially start growing a beard, your skin feels dry and itchy. Most people give up at this stage, not knowing that it will get better if they allow it to grow for a few more days. You need to wait a few months before you start trying to shape a beard, even if you want to keep a short and close-to-the-face beard. Trying to shape a beard too early is a common mistake that most individuals make.
2. Good Grooming
Not many boys are aware of this, but you need to use a good moisturizing shampoo to wash your beard a few times a week. Using shampoo prevents hair from getting brittle and keeps the skin beneath the beard from getting too dry. A good quality conditioner can be applied later to keep the hair well moisturized. Certain products can be applied to the beard in order to style it but it should be made sure that the ingredients of the products do not clog the pores of skin. The beard must be trimmed from time to time and the right tools must be used for trimming.
Once in a week, or as per need, a trimmer with a long guard can be used to get rid of stray hair. The neckline can be trimmed with a small guard by starting at your Adam’s apple. The neckline can be tapered of faded for a more natural look. An additional benefit of this look is that it requires less maintenance in future. Beard oil can be used on a daily basis to soften the hair. The beard can be combed while in shower so as to exfoliate the skin beneath the facial hair and to set the hair for an easier trim.
