First impressions count, whether it is for a job interview, date night or a business meeting.
Grooming is important. Why?
‘When you look good, you feel good.’
Personal grooming and hygiene are key to making a great first impression. If people are avoiding you or seem uncomfortable around you, perhaps a personal hygiene and grooming check is in order.
Here are a few personal grooming and hygiene tips.
Showering – Start with a refreshing shower! Choose a cleansing, great smelling shower gel, a good face wash that cleanses your skin effectively, and a good quality shampoo and conditioner.
Oral hygiene – Oral hygiene, including brushing and flossing, is an important step to your grooming routine.
Style your hair – The best time to style your hair is when it’s partly dry. If you’re rocking a t-shirt, it’s probably best to get dressed before you get styling.
Moisturise your skin – Hydrating your skin is important. Applying a good quality facial moisturiser will help give you a natural glow. For dry hands, try applying a little hand cream.
Use a good fragrance – Apply antiperspirant and cologne straight after your shower. Be careful not to apply too much cologne, and try choosing one with a subtle smell.
