Everyone wants to look their best. Whether it is about learning on how to rock a tux or picking the perfect jacket for your outfit, arriving well-groomed is what a lot of us are concerned about.

Your masterful grooming habits help you look and feel good. But, sometimes problems can arise.

Here are a few tips on how to handle those embarrassing grooming issues –

Bad breath

Foods, poor dental health, smoking and tobacco habits are a few causes of bad breath. Regular brushing and flossing is recommended and if the problem still persists, visit a dentist.

Note A temporary fix such as drinking water and chewing gum can stimulate the production of saliva which reduces bad breath.

Excessive sweating

Heavy sweating (also known as hyperhidrosis) after a good workout session is acceptable, but sweating regularly regardless of the temperature or without effort is worrisome.

Use of antiperspirants or deodorant is the first step for this solution. However, if the issue of heavy sweating still persists it is best to opt for medical treatment.

Dandruff

Whatever be the cause for the dandruff you are experiencing – dry skin, seborrheic dermatitis or failure to clean scalp, dandruff can ruin your well-groomed look.

There are a number of anti-dandruff shampoos available. Choose a good quality brand for your hair type and one that doesn’t have any side-effects on your hair.

Shaving nicks and cuts

Shaving is a daily regime and those nicks and cuts are bound to happen but thankfully, a number of products are available. If you have a shaving cut, applying an astringent product is helpful as it constricts the tissues in your skin to stop cuts from bleeding.

Astringent products include using an aftershave, styptic pencil, lip balm, antiperspirant or listerine.

Dry skin

A well-moisturised, soft and supple skin is all what we desire for. Luckily, the dry, flaky skin you might have is easy to treat. Moisturising is a perfect treat to dry skin. But just applying lotions on the outside is not sufficient.

You will need to make sure you are getting the required antioxidants and essential fatty acids in your diet as it will stimulate the cell’s oil production from inside.

Drinking six to eight glasses of water a day will keep your skin hydrated.

Adhering to the above-mentioned tips will help you tackle those embarrassing grooming issues.
